| Whenever Israel asked their neighbors to help them, God made the help fail. He rebuked them for not trusting Him alone! In Isaiah 36:6 “Look! You are trusting in the staff of this broken reed, Egypt, on which if a man leans, it will go into his hand and pierce it. So is Pharaoh king of Egypt to all who trust in him.†See Isaiah 30:1-3 and 31:1-3 | In 2 Chronicles chapter 20, King Jehoshaphat placed his entire trust in the Lord.
